About the Artist

Crystal Arcand began web design in 2000 when she became frustrated with templates and stock graphics. Tired of seeing the same thing everywhere she turned, she taught herself html coding, quickly becoming proficient without the aid of web site creation and management tools (Microsoft Front Page, for example).

As her interest in web design grew, Crystal found that finding the graphic that she saw in her mind's eye was impossible - so she opened up Adobe Photoshop and began creating.  With a background in art, graphics design came easily.  Within months of beginning web design, Crystal added graphics design to her repertoire.  She is also skilled in various print areas, including brochures and flyers.

Having created numerous web sites personally, Crystal has used the opportunity to hone her skills in aesthetics, balance, and scheme.  With a keen eye for the art of design, projects become more than just a space on the web - they become the freedom of expression we all long for.

As she began to develop her fledgling business, Crystal found it difficult to find Christian, ethics-driven web developers.  Now, she has dedicated her talents and business to meet that need for other Christian businesses, churches, and organizations.

As Crystal has continued to develop her web and graphics design business, more and more of her clients have turned to her for their typesetting needs as well.  Business cards, brochures, and a variety of typesetting projects have found their way into the scope of service within Unfettered Designs.  What started out as a personal website has grown into a business dedicated to meeting the marketing needs of its clients, from print to web.

Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Unfettered Designs is to provide the web, graphics design, and typesetting needs of its clients while maintaining the ethics that come from following our Savior, Jesus Christ.
